Sara, your package could not have arrived at a better time. I just found out that my grandfather has had a heart attack and went into cardiac arrest this morning. He’s conscious, but we don’t know how things are going to pan out. So this was exactly what I needed to cheer me up. Your timing is impeccable, my dear.

Why is it that every fucking year everyone positively wets their fucking pants about Reading and Leeds?
I mean, seriously, Leeds Fest is good, but not that good. It is, after all, just another festival. FFS, people don’t even get this excited about fucking Glastonbury.

At the Training Session tonight.
Manager: I want everyone to close their eyes and visualise going into a shop. You walk in and all the shop assistants ignore you, and just carry on with whatever they're doing. How does that make you feel?
Everyone else: Isolated. Lonely. Angry.
Me (internally, because don't want to get fired): Um, fine. Relaxed. Calm. Normal.
Manager: Okay guys, we're now leaving that shop and going into a different one. You walk in and a shop assistant greets you and asks how you are. Another shop assistant looks over and gives you a big smile. How do you feel now?
Everyone else: Happy! Comfortable! Loved!
Me (out loud, because apparently I subconsciously really want to be fired): I want to know what they're selling.
