Back in Leeds after a lovely couple of days in Sheffield.
Today involves nothing more than walking the dog and going to the opera with my mother to see La Bohème.
I forgot that I had posts queued. It’s nice to see Tumblr’s doing my work for me.
So I’m in Sheffield, feeling pretty good after a shower and toast and a gallon of tea. Better than Bella and Rosie, anyway. Eep, exciting things happened with Rosie’s lovelife last night/this morning. Happy days.
Bel wants me to stay an extra day, so I can’t guarantee posts - unless...

So Alecks and I finally finished painting the kitchen today. I am so covered in paint it’s unbelievable. Tomorrow morning I am going to have the longest, hottest and wettest shower ever. Which, by the way, is totally what she said.

Y'know what's odd?
Seeing, on Facebook, someone you don’t know use an expression you use constantly and realising that it’s because they spend a lot of time with someone you used to spend a lot of time with, and the expression has followed that set of connections.

I am absolutely covered in paint.
And I’m somewhat bored of this kitchen-painting business. It’s taking far more time than I expected, and Alecks and I have taken to spending most of it talking about music and/or taking conveniently long breaks.

I have been painting the bathroom with my friend Alecks, which has been fun. It’s been especially fun because we’re getting paid to do it.

So last night I had two very strange dreams.
I went to visit Sara and she lived in a funny little block of flats which were mostly populated by large amounts of small Indian children. It was also opposite a Costcutter that was, she told me, new. Which was why it still had plastic wrap on it. The whole shop was plastic-wrapped.
